Athletic Therapy:
Our Athletic Therapists will provide professional assessment and treatment in order to help you recover from an injury and get you back into the game. Players from all types of sports teams experience different kinds of pain and injuries; we are here to help you recover from those conditions. We use a variety of treatment techniques for sports injuries, strains, and physical pain. Our clinic can even come to your athletic event and offer individual care to all players prior to a game or practice. We will ensure that players are taped or bandaged during the event and provide complete first aid coverage. |
Concussion Testing and Management
Our specialists have a great deal of experience treating sports concussions throughout all levels of play. We will evaluate the athletes needs and implement a safe and effective recovery plan. When it comes to working with our patients, safety always comes first. Our concussion specialists in Norfolk County is able to reduce the chances of having post-concussion syndrome by performing a fair assessment and by implementing an unbiased return to play protocol. Bracing and Supports
The Athletic Therapist’s at Advantage Athletic Therapy apply their education in biomechanics and sport when recommending and fitting a product for you. Their product knowledge is applied with both custom and “off the shelf” braces and supports to assist in your recovery. Bracing can help to protect and stabilize an injured limb or joint, assist with post-operative recovery, decrease risk for injury during activities, decrease swelling, limit painful ranges of motion of a joint, support chronic injuries and decrease pain of patients with knee osteoarthritis.
